Founded in 1887, Rawlings currently specializes in baseball clothing and equipment, producing gloves, bats, balls, protective gear, batting helmets, uniforms, bags. Footwear includes sneakers, and sandals. The company also sells other accessories such as belts, wallets, and sunglasses.

A former employee mentioned, "Management at Rawlings was so rude! Gave attitude if you had to leave to take your child to doc. Spoke to you however they liked. When layoffs happened they let go a bunch of full time people who DEPENDED in their job but brought back temps who never showed up or slacked off after telling us to our face we would came back to the same jobs we had. BIG BIG LIE!"

"They called me to HR to fire me and had went through my stuff while doing so. When I opened the door to leave all my stuff was sitting outside and I was escorted out the back door like garbage. They also took out my reviews, progress notes, emails all that said I was improving. tried to call about my paperwork and they won't return my call."

Everyone was afraid to speak their minds because of subtle retaliation. The money was good at one point but now not so much. Not good work/life balance as it can feel like punishment for taking off. Management is awful. The way the workload is doled out makes it so that some people can make decent money while other people will be picking at crumbs... "You are required to do 10 weeks of training in which they tell you about but they do not tell you that you have to take test to pass to the next level and if you don't then you don't have a job. And in the live production training they seem to be helpful but i feel like they are not. You ask questions and want help but get nothing that will be helpful. awful company"

"I encountered reactionary micromanagement that pivots from one plan of action to the next. The uncertainty breeds an environment of fear and instability. It is the most repressive company culture I've experienced. Quite frankly, I had more autonomy running a fast-food drive-thru window as a teen. I can confirm what others have written. Coffee is $1. Ice is .50. Only 2 photos of family allowed, nothing more on your desk. No headphones allowed. Coats cannot be on the back of your chair. The dress code is consistently being updated to ban the most recent season's fashion. Fundraising for co-workers who have unexpected tragedy is prohibited. It's a miserable place to work."

"I worked here for eight years and I still have PTSD. You are scared that you will lose your job everyday. The owner is very cruel and treats employees like they are 2nd class. We weren't to walk in the front door or be seen in the lobby. We weren't allowed to have any "tacky" Christmas decorations on our desk and photos had to be black or silver pictures frames. Coffee was a $1.00 cup. I could go forever about all of the insane rules. No coats or jackets on the back of your chair and ladies Sandals must have a strap on the back and a one inch heel. The crazy rules had no end. The owner and his henchmen were constantly going around micromanaging. Don't work here.NothingToo many to list."

"Your success at this company is highly dependent on which team you start out with. While management insists that you are able to keep up with your production within an 8 hour work day, the only people I knew who were able to keep up were putting in 10+ hours a day or came in on the weekend. The company is constantly changing their employees goals to meet their client's demands which puts a lot of pressure on its employees to stay late or risk getting fired. The company holds a lot of meetings that take up time during the work day and offset the time you have to be productive. If you miss a day, it will often take you at least a week of staying late to catch back up to your goal. Upper management does not care about the pressures they place on their employees and are constantly looking to find reasons to correct and ultimately terminate employees who aren't preforming to their standards."

"Wow. Breaks my heart to see how some people who have been with the company only a few years have aged so poorly and also not take care of themselves. Very obvious that they want only certain people to represent their company. Not inclusive. Not diverse. PTSD is real. Take any medication? You will start it here. Training is 10-15 different people talking to a large class and three tests. Invasive and disrespectful for medical conditions. Do not work here"

"If the Rawlings Group were a basketball team, they would fire Michael Jordan for averaging 3 turnovers and 3 fouls per game; because they're so dumb that they wouldn't even realize he's also averaging 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. This company only focuses on the negative; especially, if you're a good worker, because they aren't aware of work that hasn't been done to the point where they can track it and pick it apart to find an arbitrary mistake, or even something subjective that you "should have done" instead, because it's the "way" of doing things according to their discretion. Infact, if you just pretend to work and don't actually accomplish much of anything, except for going through the motions and looking busy, then you would probably be fine and under their radar. Also, if you're a good worker, once you build a decent amount of files that are about to start cashing in, they'll fire you and steal all your files.NoneToo many to name"

"I would not recommend anyone to work here.This is the absolute worst place I've ever worked. They are not honest, there is no work life balance. The turnover being above 60% speaks for itself. If you aren't ready to quit, no worries they will just fire you to make room for the fresh meat , the new class of new hires that are too new and naive to know what the company is all about yet."

"Horrible communication. I ordered a glove that was in stock. Ordered embroidered name. That was June 6 or so. It was for a July 7 birthday present. I received nothing regarding shipment or timing. So after 4 or 5 weeks, I emailed and was told it takes 2 months and would ship 8/3. 8/3 comes and goes.. Nothing. Emailed them twice this week still nothing. So I read other reviews. I Love how businesses are using COVID to justify horrible service. COVID has nothing to do with the lack of updates or returned emails. This is all Not to mention that when i ordered this glove there was no mention of it taking 2 months or more to ship."
